Like the rest of the MultiCity services, Auctions are currently available in
seven languages. Perhaps the best and most unique feature of the Auctions is
the ability to view and bid on items through email and WAP, so it is truly mobile
Chat Rooms
The MultiCity provides on-the-fly translation into 6 languages - everything
users in the chat room say is instantly translated into the appropriate language
for the other people in the chat room. The actual chat interface can be translated
into 17 different languages. It allows Event Listsings on the MultiCity site,
as well as links to your chat in the appropriate category on MultiCity.com.
You can choose between having the chat hosted by MultiCity, or adding it to
your website manually. The chat rooms are accessible with any browser that supports
Java. The room's topic, description, font and colors can also be customised.
Discussion Boards
MultiCity Discussion Boards are both powerful and customisable - you control
completely the topic, language, colors and images. You can filter messages based
upon your own criteria. It allows users to receive replied to their messages
via email to allow for more rapid communication, and search for information
posted in topics using the powerful search engine. The Board can be translated
into any one of 11 languages.
Web Polls
Using Web Polls you can collect user opinions - all you need to do is choose
the style, question and answer choices and then paste the pre-generated code
into your site's HTML files. You can view detailed statistics and analysis,
including voter IP addresses, time logs, etc. Also, you have the ability to
share your poll with other sites, dramatically increasing exposure.
People Profiles
People Profiles enable your site visitors to set up a profile for themselves
and communicate with other users on the MultiCity network who share similar
interests or characteristics. You can also use them to collect statistics about
your users demographic information and personalities, which could help you to

Instant Messaging
